The EAA's annual AirVenture show at Oshkosh represents a real opportunity to combine a visit to one of the world's greatest air shows with a ride in a Flying Fortress.

I made a point of booking the B-17 flight for July 28th to celebrate and honour the very first flight of the Boeing Model 299 prototype in Seattle in 1935.

Back then I'm sure no one could have imagined we could still fly in one seventy five years later !
